In September 2000, the International Federation of Actors produced the EuroFIA Dance Passport. EuroFIA is a federation of performers' unions and association within the European Community and Economic Area.

Ireland and its 14 sister EU States have launched the Dance Passport for use by dancers when working in any company of the European Union. The passport is available to dance professionals who are Union members in good standing. It gives EU dancers access to a range of services all signatory European Trade Unions when they travel and work within the Passport Area. Countries currently included are:
